My Spidey Senses are Tingling

This feels ominous from the Romney camp.  Governor Romney came out last night to tell the world that, had he been attacked for the 47% comment, he would have admitted it was wrong.  Not "the wrong way to say it."  He would have admitted to being wrong.  This feels very pivotal. I dug a bit more to see what other folks were saying about this and found this on The Hill.  This is where he said this little gem about Libya for the next debate.

“I believe what happened there was a tragic failure,” Romney said. “There had been warning of a possible attack. There were requests on the part of our commission there, or diplomats there rather to have additional security forces. They were turned down. And then following the tragedy we have misleading information coming from the administration. And in fact the president didn’t acknowledge this was a terrorist act for, what, a week or two .... we expect candor and transparency from the administration and we didn’t get it.”

With all of this sudden "honesty," and earnestness, it will be very hard to make the "Romney lies" charges stick.  If Romney's calling the President dishonest in his reactions and openness about Libya, this could become a sticky spot for Mr. Obama.  He does not do well when he is attacked.  He comes off as smug.

This doesn't feel like it is good news for the Obama campaign.  I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but something here sounds like the beginning of the end.  All of a sudden, I feel like Mitt became a contender.
